I saw the most AMAZING post from LOST IN A STORY with the most AMAZING idea to help cut down my ridiculously large TBR! Thank you so much for creating this post!!

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: (straight from original post)

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Every week I will be going through 10 books on my Goodreads TBR and purging as many as I feel comfortable with. Most likely these posts will go up on a Wednesday. Currently I have 300 to go through and this number is always being added to, so hopefully this will help a lot. Here are my next ten books!

  13. Seeing all these posts inspired me to do my own version, but since my TBR had over 800 books on it, with each post I write up I go through 30 books from my list.

  21. Yay for An Abundance of Katherines! It’s the only Green book I’ve read so far and loved it! I’m looking forward to reading Sarah Dessen and Pride & Prejudice is worth it – I just read it last year! Happy reading! 😀

  22. I absolutely adore this! I had to do this to my own physical shelves this year. I had books I had for over a decade and never read. I said time to move on from them. This would greatly help some one in the same boat. May have to do it myself when I am ready to purge again!

  24. I’m always afraid to get rid of books I think I might eventually read because I’m worried I’ll forget about them! Hence why my TBR is so long with a lot of recent or unreleased books
