I saw the most AMAZING post from LOST IN A STORY with the most AMAZING idea to help cut down my ridiculously large TBR! Thank you so much for creating this post!!

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: (straight from original post)

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Every week I will be going through 10 books on my Goodreads TBR and purging as many as I feel comfortable with. Most likely these posts will go up on a Wednesday. Currently I have 300 to go through and this number is always being added to, so hopefully this will help a lot. Here are my next ten books!

This week I chose to keep only 8/10 books. This is the least progress I’ve made so far, but these are some great books from what I hear, so I’m OK with that.

  5. I haven’t read Archived, I don’t even own a copy of this book but I’ve read A Darker Shade of Magic by Schwab and I loved it! I also heard only amazing things by this author so I think that it’s a great choice for giving Archived another chance. 🙂

  12. I’m doing my own take on this, because I am sorting through 30 books with each post. My 4th TBR purge post should be up in just a few minutes.I’m going to be doing these for a while too because when I started my TBR was over 800 books long.

  15. So many great books and a lot of these are on my TBR. I loved Scarlet by the way but it was my least favorite of the lunar chronicles if that makes sense lol! Great post!

  20. I started Going Bovine when I was much younger around when it came out and I didn’t like it, despite liking some of Bray’s other books. But now I think the weirdness will be totally up my alley.
