I saw the most AMAZING post from LOST IN A STORY with the most AMAZING idea to help cut down my ridiculously large TBR! Thank you so much for creating this post!!

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: (straight from original post)

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Every week I will be going through 10 books on my Goodreads TBR and purging as many as I feel comfortable with. Most likely these posts will go up on a Wednesday. Currently I have 300 to go through and this number is always being added to, so hopefully this will help a lot. Here are my next ten books!

  18. I’m here to urge you to START THE GOLDFINCH! I adored that book, and Donna Tartt is an amazing writer. You should also read her other book, The Secret History which is probably one of my favourite books ever??!?!?! But The Goldfinch is definitely not for everyone, it’s waay too long for some people, just to keep in mind 🙂

  19. I wanted to read 27 Hours but then I saw all the crap Tristina Wright was pulling on Twitter after being accused of sexual harrassment so I won’t read anything about her anymore. Unfortunately she deleted her Twitter so I can’t even point you to the tweets she made.

      1. I may still read it, but not review it. -shrugs- I’m not sure either. It’s one I’ll probably borrow from the library if I ever decide to read it.

  21. YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST READ THRONE OF GLASS!!!! Maybe not Tower of Dawn but AT LEAST THE OTHER BOOKS! I don’t think I’m gonna read Tower of Dawn. It’s in Chaol’s POV and I don’t like him. YAY! Two more books down. Awesome post!
