World Enviroment Day was on June 5th. I was tagged by the Sarah @ Mummy Cat Notes to do this tag!
How to Play
The major issue of plastic pollution has been gaining much awareness lately, thanks to numerous documentaries and high profile campaigns. As we wake up to the level of destruction to our planet caused by single- use plastics, people are increasingly switching to reusables. Hooray! Join us in this global game of tag by sharing photos of your reusables to help #beatplasticpollution Let’s play!
The Rules
All games have rules 😉 These ones are very simple…
1. Take a photo of between 1- 3 reusable items that you personally have switched to, in order to help tackle plastic pollution.
2. Caption your photo with a short message to raise awareness.
3. Also include your top tip for beating plastic pollution.
4. Share your photo and caption, along with your top tip, tagging at least three other people.
5. Please also link back to me in your blog post and tag me on social media, thank you!
MY TOP TIP –
Invest in a water filter and reusable water bottle instead of using plastic bottles of water that you will just throw away.
MY PHOTOS…
Here we have the coffee tumblers (I have quite a few) that I drink my morning iced coffee in. Next is my favorite Camelback reusable water bottle (50 oz). Lastly is my Alkaline water filter that I use to refill my water bottle!
TAG!!
I’m gonna skip tags since I’m a bit late on this one but if you get the chance please give it a go, I would love to see others!
I’m personally a fan of reusable grocery bags. I’m a checker at a grocery store and it’s so sad how many bags we go through, even though a lot do get recycled back. And honestly it’s a lot easier to just carry a few reusable bags! They hold a lot.

I need to start using water bottles more. I do buy water in PET bottles, but I’ll usually refill them all week from the water cooler at work at the very least.

Great tag! I definitely think we could all use being kinder to the environment. We recycle but I know we could do better when it comes to plastic.

This is such a great tag idea! The problem with plastics is really bad and has been all over the media so it’s great to see encouragement to start using reusables!

I live in India, where (thankfully) plastic pollution isn’t as much of a problem. Not in my state, in any case. We use a lot of reusable stuff – bottles are common, grocery bags are fairly common. Most other stuff (fruits and vegetables, for instance) don’t come wrapped in plastic. I’ve been contacting recycling centers, trying to get them to open in my city. That’d be huge! Despite our best efforts, we still end up with a fair amount of plastic – mostly shampoo bottles and packets of various things (like oil).

Pollution is such an important topic that is overlooked way too often!

I agree. We were taught about it in Environment Education back in school, but by the time I was 15, the subject was removed from the curriculum. That was sad.
